Programme
- Your day begins with a pick up from your hotel early morning, for a trip to the renowned Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, one of Thailand’s most famous floating markets. Travel by minibus from central Bangkok, a 90-minute journey southwest, while your local guide shares insights about this vibrant part of Thailand. The Floating Market will be buzzing with life as local traders sell a wide variety of goods and food by the water’s edge from their traditional longtail boats. You can also board a paddle boat if you prefer to float rather than walk. Take in the sights, sounds, and smells of the market, and perhaps pick up some snacks and bargain souvenirs.
- Later, head to the River Kwai at Kanchanaburi to visit the famous bridge over the River Kwai. Enjoy a tasty Thai lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, your guide will take you to the fascinating JEATH War Museum, where you’ll learn about the infamous Death Railway. Spend some time walking around the Allied War Cemetery, where many who were part of this historical event were laid to rest.
After the tour, your minibus will return you to your hotel around 18:30.
